Against All Odds, a Broken Dog Survives

Imagine a child of two months getting hit by a car. Having suffered multiple leg and hip fractures, bruised over its entire body it somehow survives the impact. A person takes the dog to a rescue organization which begins to accept donations towards helping the dog but the child is never given the necessary treatment and sits in a cage, unable to eat, drink or go to the bathroom for four days. Still the child survives. Enter Dogs Unlimited Rescue, an organization headed by Gina Lutes, who discovers the poor child and takes it under her wing. The dog was evaluated at an orthopedic referral center, then transferred to Oak Tree Veterinary Hospital for surgery. Here she is on the day she came to us. More to follow..
